Who we are
SHANHAI ATELIER (山海工房) is the bespoke commission atelier of Shanhai Art & Culture, Shanghai. Contact: atelier@shanhai.art.
What we collect
When you submit a private inquiry we collect the details you provide (name, email, phone, organisation, location, the description of your commission, budget range, references and privacy preference) together with technical data needed to deliver the message (IP address, browser type, time of submission).
Why
To reply to your inquiry, to prepare a proposal, to keep an accurate record of a commission and its provenance, and to protect the form from abuse. We rely on your consent and on our legitimate interest in running the atelier.
Where it goes
Inquiries are delivered by email to the studio and stored in the studio's private client archive (Notion). Email delivery is provided by Resend. We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing.
Analytics
We use privacy-respecting, cookie-free page analytics (Vercel Analytics). No personal data from the inquiry form is sent to analytics.
Confidentiality
Inquiries marked Private or Strictly Confidential are handled accordingly: nothing is published, and confidential materials are shared only with team members and fabricators bound by non-disclosure agreements.
Retention & your rights
We keep inquiry records for as long as needed to serve a potential or actual commission and its provenance. You may ask us at any time to access, correct or delete your data by writing to atelier@shanhai.art.
